FANTASY FORECAST 2017/18: FPL Gameweek 22
Ahead of each Gameweek in the Fantasy Premier League the Hype Train invites a special guest onto its Fantasy Forecast, where the three members of the Hype Team and its Guests will duel for FPL supremacy in predicting Premier League scores, as well as going head to head in picking a Scout Picks squad for the relevant Gameweek. In addition, we give our insight into who are the players to watch and those to drop, both for traditional FPL leagues and the Draft mode, as well as providing insight into captaincy picks, differentials for the week, and more. Welcome to the Forecast. All aboard.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.

How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of respecting the rules of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interested parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast. A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, players to consider for the Draft game, the wildcard differential players, as well as general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, without any budget, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).

Fixture Prediction: 2017/18 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Sadio Mane, Heung-Min Son, Marko Arnautovic, Adrian, Ederson, Harry Kane (obviously).
OUT: Eden Hazard, Andreas Christensen, Romelu Lukaku, United Defenders.
Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
Who knows, try and pick up some players most likely being rotated in.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Spurs: Featuring as a team in the Double Gameweek, so there will be points floating about. Spurs also have a great record against Swansea who could be in for a rough time at the Liberty Stadium. In previous occasions these matches have been called ‘one-sided’.
West Ham: Featuring as a team in the Double Gameweek. Hard to sell West Ham, but they do have a good fixture at home to West Brom.
Liverpool: The Reds are on seriously good form, and they go to Burnley who are currently in a stammer. Sadio Mane showed signs of his recovery, and with other teams slipping up around them the Merseyside club could start the new year the way they ended 2017.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Spurs: Rotation, rotation, rotation. Also, the tendency to flop at Wembley.
West Ham: For one game, mind you. The West Brom fixture is a solid pick, but against Spurs it could be domination.
Arsenal: The Gunners have an imposing visit of Chelsea to the Emirates. ArsenalFan TV is going to be insane watching over the new year. Guarantee that DT says something along the lines of “I’m fed up of this, it’s already new year and I’m sick of saying the same thing!”
Man United: Draw after draw removes their threat. Under Fergie you would expect them to be competitive, but with Young, Lukaku, and Ibrahimovic unavailable they could be in line for yet another draw.
GW Differential Picks:
Marko Arnautovic: The Austrian has been in great scoring form going into the double gameweek. He could be on it again, a great option under £7.0mil.
Sadio Mane: The King of Egypt will most likely miss the game at Burnley, leaving Mane to step up in his place. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Mane needs to come in and help the void Salah has left. In the summer I was saying Salah needs to fill the void Mane could potentially leave.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) Harry Kane – Not Salah, and playing twice and will be good for points in a double gameweek. Spurs should beat Swansea and West Ham, surely?
(VC) Christian Eriksen – Not Salah, and playing twice and will be good for points in a double gameweek. Spurs should beat Swansea and West Ham, surely?
Other Gameweek Comments:
Cometh the rotation season, and cometh even more headaches and tears as the Premier League undergoes huge changes in 2018. ‘New Year, New Me’ FPL managers will want better of their teams, but they need assets from West Ham and Spurs to ensure they have at least players picking up points regardless of rotation. Just remember…Spurs rotate their full-backs, religiously.

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?: IN: Ederson, Masuaku, Arnautovic, Kane. OUT: Fabianski, Mee, KDB, Lukaku.
GW Differential Picks:
Ilkay Gundogan: With KDB facing time in the treatment room, they need a dynamic midfield player to run the show. Gundogan can be that guy as he’s proved in his limited opportunities. If KDB is our for multiple weeks he could be a steal as a 5th Mid.
FPL Captaincy Picks: (C) Harry Kane: Back in the fold and set for a big points haul. Only thing holding back the triple captain chip is a slight chance of illness ruling him out of the first tie.
(VC) Sergio Aguero: Now Jesus is out due to injury Aguero should be locked in. His underlying stats have been exceptional in recent weeks but poor fortune has led to him striking the post on 3 occasions and an off side goal.

IN: Christian Eriksen, Marko Arnautovic, Adrian, Ederson, Harry Kane
OUT: Eden Hazard, Andreas Christensen, and any Chelsea players who aren't Alonso or Azpilicueta
Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
West Ham players are there for a one week performance.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Spurs: Fully rested squad for the visit of Newcastle. Should be a win for Stoke
Brighton: Defensively speaking, they're good at home and I can see another narrow win, which makes a Newcastle fan like myself start to sweat a little.
Everton: United are there for the taking.
Crystal Palace: Palace have a good record at Southampton and we could see Zaha against Jack Stephens. It could be a long day for Southampton, who can't score without Austin.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Watford: Would be relegation contenders if they didn't have that one good run to start the season. The whole squad is mirroring Capoue's infamous season - a good five games and then falls off the face of the planet... Oh yeah, and they're playing Man City... Away...
Arsenal: Arsenal fans have begun turning the tide and were fed up after a 1-1 draw at West Brom. This usually means they get spanked in the following fixture.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) Harry Kane – Despite having an illness, he's the captain, isn't he?
(VC) Marko Arnautovic – Form is good, so why not?
Other Gameweek Comments:
I'm really looking forward to a weekend off from the FPL. It has been burnout for the past month. Need a fresh perspective and some good sleep, and come back refreshed... Just like the players in our FPL squads.
