FANTASY FIVE PICKS 2019/20: FPL Gameweek 3
Ahead of each Gameweek of the FPL season, we have introduced a new Community feature to our website, Fantasy Five's. The premise is quite simple, The Hype Team and a weekly guest will compete against each other in picking 5 players - a Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder, Forward and a captaincy pick that is a wildcard that can be of any position or club - the winner of the week is the person with the most points at the end of the Gameweek. The only other rule is that the 4 first picks have to be players from different clubs. All aboard.
Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 3 Deadline
For the 2019/20 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. Gameweek 3 - Fantasy 5 Picks: Sam Austin

Gameweek Insight:
"This week is going to be Spurs and Liverpool heavy, mostly because of their respective fixtures. First up is Spurs, of whom I have selected Harry Kane and Danny Rose. This fixture has the best potential for fantasy returns from both ends, and with Kane having already bagged two goals at their new stadium this year the Englishman is a must this week for captaincy. Newcastle are struggling at both ends, which makes this a dream scenario for many people looking at potential transfers.
I usually favour Mohamad Salah in Liverpool fixtures, but not this one. Roberto Firmino is Arsenal’s Bogeyman and scored a hat-trick in this exact fixture last season. In goal I have gone for Patricio because I think Wolves will make life hard for Burnley. Wrapping up this team is Anthony Martial who is on good scoring form playing as the main striker for United. Crystal Palace haven’t scored yet, but look vulnerable at the back, which gives me optimism that Martial will make it three-for-three."

Ahead of Gameweek 2, Phil has opted for a pricey trio up top, with in-form Raheem Sterling, who loves a goal against Bournemouth, and Harry Kane against a hapless Newcastle side. Both picks are solid locks for most players this week, whilst the desire for Marcus Rashford grows after a stellar start to the season.
Everton and Brighton are fancied to keep another set of clean sheets this weekend. Southampton don't look offensively all there, and Aston Villa are back to their Premier League best, losing both their games back in the top flight.

"Personally, I've hit that early stage of the season where I'm seeing desirable players rise in price, whilst mine (Barkley, Fraser) fall, with Salah and Robertson on the downturn too. With Salah, I think that the transfers out are skewed by overly-presumptuous FPL players who are looking to squeeze money out of their budget.
I've banked on Salah to come good against Arsenal (the Liverpool trio always do), whilst Kane against my beloved Newcastle is a shoe-in for goals. Newcastle are just depressing me right now and they'll get dominated this weekend - might as well make some Fantasy points out of it.
Man United and Everton look good for clean sheets, and Raheem Sterling is that early season sting that I'll regret not bringing in to my team sooner - of course he'll bite again away at Bournemouth."

A clean sheet and a penalty save in the first couple of games of the season has seen Rui Patricio pick up interest, with our guest, FPL Price Changes, living off the hype of his personal form.
Brighton are fancied this week for a clean sheet with coastal rivals, Southampton, visiting town. Brighton's three at the back has seen them as viable and cheap FPL options, and with Southampton lacking fire power (Adrian made Southampton's case look a lot better after his mistake).
Sadio Mane's return has seen Salah become the most transferred out player this week, whilst Kane and Salah are no-brainers with good fixtures on the horizon.
