ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN
The Hype Train is an entertainment website based in the United Kingdom that was formed in March 2015. THT is co-owned by Robert Austin, Sam Austin and Phil Jones.
Since our inception as a website we have specialised in writing about Fantasy sports such as Fantasy Premier League (FPL), and more recently with MLS Fantasy. The Hype Train also writes about modern football, reviewing matches from around the world and providing feature articles that delve into issues that arise from within the game.
In addition to our sports coverage, we collaborated weekly with Adam Zoltie to launch our YouTube channel in 2018, launching the 'Weekly Wrestling Show' and our 'Superstar of the Week' regular video series, channelling Adam's love for professional wrestling in to highly edited, quality content. In 2020, we launched The Hype Train's First Class Podcast on our YouTube channel, with our three-person team discussing the latest hot topics from the world of football and sport.
In 2019, The Hype Train innovated further, becoming the first fantasy football website to go from the pages to the field, launching Hype Train Football Club, a grassroots football team that competes in the East Berkshire Football League. The squad boasts a team of 30+ players, with the team filming every match using a smart camera from Danish company, VEO. All of our highlights packages can be found on our club's YouTube channel, whilst we also provide professional match reports and social media coverage to track the team's progress.
Ahead of the 2020/21 grassroots football season, we launched a dedicated club website, HypeTrainFC.com, to best showcase our creative efforts and aid in the club's long-term development strategy. Later in the season in April 2021 we formed the Reading Sunday Social League (RSSL) alongside Caversham United, an 8-team league that began on April 11th 2021 and culminated in a final between Woodley Saints FC and Hype Train FC on June 20th 2021.
The Hype Train produces feature articles, create unique info-graphics to compliment our writing efforts, and regularly use social media channels to promote in-house graphics and our portfolio of work, as well as creating exclusive content.
