Weekly Wildcards: Gameweek Thirty-Two
Every week The Hype Train analyses the best wildcard options for your Fantasy Premier League teams. Historically weekly dream team’s comprise of mostly wildcard players whose selection falls under 5% of overall players, to which there is no doubt that their influence cannot be ignored. With such an abundance of points coming from the FPL’s hidden gems The Hype Train selects one player from each match in the upcoming gameweek to decide who could be the differential for your teams.

LAST WEEKS PERFORMANCE (GW 31)
Hit and miss in the gameweek before internationals, we even had a right winger playing at right-back for West Ham which was disappointing. The most reliable players were Deeney & Fuchs (surprise, surprise) as another strange week dominated the FPL.
We will take a second to also remember Christian Fuchs who is no longer a wildcard, he went out on top after scoring nine points in his last outing, the king of bonus points is now owned by enough people to consider him a valued asset in the FPL community.

Aaron Lennon: 2pts
Michail Antonio: 1pt
Christian Fuchs: 9pts
Troy Deeney: 8pts
Ben Foster: 2pts
Leroy Fer: 3pts
Patrick van Aanholt: 2pts
Mamadou Sakho: 1pt
Gael Clichy: 2pts
Max Gradel: 2pts
Gameweek 31 Average Points: 56pts
Gameweek 31 Wildcard Points: 32pts
TEAM OF THE WEEK WILDCARDS
Returning to prominence the wildcards have taken back their place on the mantle of the weekly dream team with seven out of eleven players owned by less than five percent of players. Timm Klose got a second straight clean sheet and the most wildcard midfield of this season didn’t include Payet, Ozil, or Mahrez. This is also one of the few dream teams’ not to include Leicester players.
Many of this team are also a potential for GW32 also, so if you’re looking for some inspired transfers this week’s dream team might just get you to where you want to be.

Wildcards: Fernandez, Walker, Klose, Fabregas, Walters, Brady, Mane (7)
Non-Wildcards: de Gea, Bellerin, Kane, Pelle (4)
Points achieved by wildcards: 81pts
Points achieved by non-wildcards: 50pts
THIS WEEKS WILDCARDS
For this gameweek we are once again selecting ten wildcards, one for each game. Same rules apply: the players we choose must not be selected by more than five percent of the games players. We start in order of the games listed on the official Fantasy Premier League site.
The wildcard options selection percentage is accurate as of 29/03/2016.

GARY CAHILL, ASTON VILLA VS CHELSEA
Name: Gary Cahill
Club: Chelsea
Position: Defender Price: £6.1mil Ownership: 4.3%
Aston Villa are doomed, their players suspended, the rest out-of-form, and with a resurgent Chelsea visiting Villa Park it looks likely to be another typical tale in what could be described as a nightmare scenario for the Villains. Fresh from the internationals Gary Cahill will resume his place in the Chelsea defence, one that looks stable with injury to Kurt Zouma still foreshadowing his involvement in the team at the moment. This selection is an open and shut case as we believe Villa won’t do enough to breach the Blues defence.

DANNY WELBECK, ARSENAL VS WATFORD
Name: Danny Welbeck
Club: Arsenal
Position: Forward Price: £7.3mil Ownership: 1.0%
The second England international we look at in this week’s wildcards is that guy Welbz. Since returning he has the perfect blend of movement, speed, and power that Arsene Wenger wants up front and he is doing his part in keeping Walcott and Giroud on the bench. Without Champions League to cloud the judgement of the Gunners this could be a reawakening for the London club who aim to finish strong. Welbeck recently scored in the loss against opponents Watford in the FA Cup, and with double gameweeks fast approaching the hard working forward might be a great shout for the week.

MATT RITCHIE, BOURNEMOUTH VS MANCHESTER CITY
Name: Matt Ritchie
Club: AFC Bournemouth
Position: Midfielder Price: £5.4mil Ownership: 2.5%
Another wildcard from Britain as electric Matt Ritchie returns having scored a winning goal in the international break to give Scotland two straight wins on the bounce, and with Manchester City visiting the vibrant Vitality stadium they will need all the match winners they can get at the moment. Key personnel for Eddie Howe have returned, some are improving, some should have gotten an international call-up by Roy, uhum, *Charlie Daniels*. Manchester City are currently there for the taking, they look weak and very, very beatable. With so many injurie concerns and the looming face of Pep looking into the future this is not a Citizens team that has their mind on anything at the moment in the Premier League. Bournemouth can utilise a strong home crowd and Matt Ritchie who has plenty of goals and assists in his last ten outings could be a major player in this fixture.

TIMM KLOSE, NORWICH VS NEWCASTLE
Name: Timm Klose
Club: Norwich
Position: Defender Price: £4.2mil Ownership: 0.1%
January transfers are hard to call, they either play, or they don’t. Alex Neil has given the mighty German a chance at sorting out the Canaries defence and in two games they have kept two clean sheets and picked up four points, with Klose picking up an incredible six bonus points in the process. Their opponents are fellow strugglers Newcastle who visit in need of win, but they also possess one of the most terrible away records in the Premier League. Should Klose continue his fine displays he could be course for another nine point week against a team clawing at loose dirt to stay in the finest league in the world.

PHILIPP WOLLSCHEID, STOKE CITY VS SWANSEA
Name: Philipp Wollscheid
Club: Stoke City
Position: Defender Price: £4.5mil Ownership: 4.6%
Speaking of Germans we move our attention to Stoke’s Wollscheid who is a value pick for a week with plenty of questions marks stamped over it. Swansea, who visit the dreaded Potters home turf, are more comfortable taking points at the Liberty, we aren’t saying they are out of this match but Stoke represent the better chance at defensive returns. Ever-present at the heart of the defence the tall German has picked up plenty of bonus, and if they carry on their home form can add great value to any FPL team looking for quality differentials.

JERMAINE DEFOE, SUNDERLAND VS WEST BROM
Name: Jermaine Defoe
Club: Sunderland
Position: Forward Price: £5.1mil Ownership: 4.4%
Our third Englishmen in this week’s wildcards comes in the form of proven goal-scorer Jermain Defoe who has had the chance to freshen up his legs after scoring twenty one points in his last three fixtures, a more than impressive tally for the opportunistic juggernaut. Sunderland are keen experts on all things relegation, and if there is anyone on the score sheet in this tie it will be Defoe who could be a great swap for Odion Ighalo who has struggled in front of goal for Watford in the league recently. Defoe’s proven track record speaks for itself which is why he makes the cut for the weekly wildcards.

ADRIAN, WEST HAM VS CRYSTAL PALACE
Name: Adrian San Miguel del Castillo
Club: West Ham
Position: Goalkeeper Price: £5.0mil Ownership: 3.8%
Jack Butland’s injury is devastating news to the FPL; he has been sublime from start to finish this season. In such times of opportunity we analyse the chances of West Ham who are charging towards Champions League places. Adrian has time and time again this season proven to be one of the best differential keepers and with eighteen points in his last three (and against good teams) the Hammers keeper must be relishing the thought of welcoming the plummeting Crystal Palace to their aged home. Only since December the Eagles were soaring high, we even touted them to potentially challenge for Champions League, but their descent has been rapid and heart-breaking for people who have trusted their players. In this match Adrian is a safe pair of gloves.

ADAM LALLANA, LIVERPOOL VS SPURS
Name: Adam Lallana
Club: Liverpool
Position: Midfielder Price: £7.3mil Ownership: 0.7%
We’re counting four England internationals, and this time we pick March’s PFA Fans Players of the Month Adam Lallana who has been in fine form for both club and country. Since Klopp arrived he has transformed and now looks like he can contribute to goals and assists like the Lallana of old, forever trusted in the team by leading the pressing style he has started to see the rewards culminate in goals and assists for Liverpool. Lallana provides that ‘something else’ which could be crucial in what is to be a fantastic game between two sides who have a healthy record of scoring goals against one another.

SHANE LONG, LEICESTER VS SOUTHAMPTON
Name: Shane Long
Club: Southampton
Position: Forward Price: £5.7mil Ownership: 0.8%
The wildcard death of Christian Fuchs makes life much more difficult in picking players in Leicester fixtures. Forced to pick the best option from their opposition we arrive at the helm of Shane Long who has undoubtedly been one of the best players this season. We touted him to make a difference against Manchester City, of which he did, and is very good at causing defences lots of problems with him running which might be trouble for Morgan and Huth who don’t have that kind of pace to match the Irishman.

MARCUS RASHFORD, MANCHESTER UNITED VS EVERTON
Name: Marcus Rashford
Club: Manchester United
Position: Forward Price: £4.5mil Ownership: 2.9%
Manchester United blooding their youth has become the norm now for them this term, forced to rely on players who before the season many people would have been scratching their heads over. Inside this mass confusion of the 2015/16 season a gem of a striker has emerged in Rashford who looks to be highly professional and intelligent player. Able to beat his man and score goals the fifth Englishman we have picked is coming off an impressive win over Manchester City in the cash money derby, scoring the winning goal and winning even more plaudits. Everton have been a mixed bag this season but like their Red rivals from Merseyside they cannot be trusted which is why Rashford has been chosen.
