FPL FORECAST 2016/17: Gameweek 7
Each and every week the three members of The Hype Team post their Premier League and FPL predictions in an attempt to enlighten players that might be stuck with their FPL choices and transfers. In addition, we’ll be taking on a guest for every Gameweek in the PL. On the weekly agenda are a general predictions category, a Gameweek Fantasy Premier League forecast, scout picks, and captaincy choices. For the opening weekend of the season, we welcome @FPLJesus as our 7th guest. All aboard.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 7 Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.
In a change from last season, Friday nights games are going to more common in the 2016/17 season. The third listed game is between Everton and Crystal Palace at 8pm.
The transfer deadline for GW2 is Friday September 30th at 19:00pm.

How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of the first edition of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interest parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions (Mark Lawrenson style, only less biased, hopefully) and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast.A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, the wildcard differential players, and general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).
Fixture Prediction: 2016/17 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 7
Best GW Attacking Options:
Liverpool (a) vs Swansea
Arsenal (a) vs Burnley
Chelsea (a) vs Hull
West Ham (h) vs Middlesbrough
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Man Utd (h) vs Swansea
Arsenal (a) vs Burnley
Sunderland (h) vs West Brom
West Brom (a) vs Sunderland
Leicester (h) vs Southampton
Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
In: Coutinho, Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane, Hueng-Min Son, Dimitri Payet, Marcus Rashford, Troy Deeney, Hector Bellerin, Patrick van Aanholt.
Out: Leighton Baines, James Collins, Callum Wilson, Leroy Fer, KDB, De Gea
Who is the team to look out for?:
This is a pretty clear cut week on paper for three big teams against opposition they should brush aside. I won’t go into too much detail because I think the holy-trinity for Gameweek seven is in the form of three clubs.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea.
Aside from this I expect Boro to have a real go at West Ham, and a predictable win from Man Utd…but I could be proven wrong after they could suffer from another Europa League hangover.
Who is the team to avoid?:
Manchester City: Spurs are undefeated so far in the league and I consider them to be the first big test in the reign of Pep Guardiola. Spurs work hard and won’t give the Citizens the respect other teams have so far in the league. Spurs may be without Kane but they are a potent team regardless of any personnel changes. City have been beaten in two consecutive encounters at White Hart Lane, three times a charm?
Everton: Having dropped the baton against Bournemouth the cracks began to surface for the Toffees, their thick skin has been pierced and blood is now in the water. Good news for Crystal Palace who love coming to Merseyside to collect points either from the blue or red side. Alan Pardew’s side are in terrific form and could prove to be tricky customers for the folk at Goodison this Friday evening.
Bournemouth: The Premier League is a strange place, but some things are more routine than others. The Cherries for example have been woeful away from home and with Watford looking to make right their loss at Burnley they could come down on Bournemouth’s defence with no mercy.
GW Differential Picks:
Christian Benteke: Since leaving Liverpool the imposing Benteke has scored two late goals in away games and now turns his renewed appetite for goals at the club he was once forced to loathe in the form of Everton. I think Palace will come away with something, Pardew loves visiting the city of Liverpool and Benteke has the height advantage to victimise Ashley Williams this gameweek.
Loris Karius: Liverpool have finally their first choice goalkeeper up to speed in the Premier League, the German would have been disappointed not to keep a clean sheet versus Hull but he has a chance to change that and smile at Simon Mignolet who will be relegated to the bench. Times are a changing a Liverpool.
You can also catch up with all my wildcard picks in the Weekly Wildcards article, I highly recommend it if you want fleeting jokes of a circus pitching up its tent at Hull this weekend.
FPL Captaincy Pick:
Troy Deeney (C): I wouldn’t be doing myself justice as a wildcard expert without picking the stoic Troy Deeney, king of all wildcard players. Bournemouth at home should have plenty of points on offer for the striker who has been getting regular returns, this could be his fourth in six should everything go to plan.
Patrick van Aanholt (VC): I don’t care what anyone says, West Brom and Sunderland will draw 0-0 and if it doesn’t the Dutch left-back has a good goal scoring ratio. Patrick was also chosen in my wildcard picks this week, hint-hint.
Other Gameweek Comments:
I have been leading the season’s predictions comfortably, so it you fancy a bet on this week’s fixtures pay attention to my proposed scores. In all seriousness though this season has been defined by Paul Merson screaming “GOOAAALLLLLLL” during Soccer Saturday so my advice would be to load up on the predictable sources of goals and you’ll do just fine.

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Any Liverpool Mid, Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott, Son, Tadic.
OUT: Ibrahimovic (post Stoke game), Rooney, Payet, Mahrez, Collins.
Who is the team to look out for?:
Southampton: Somewhat under the radar this side have steadily improved their results. Leicester will prove tough opposition, but following on from last week’s destruction of West Ham, they are in fine form.
Who is the team to avoid?:
West Ham: Despite big returns from Antonio and Payet this side looks frail all over the park. They can expect to concede 2/3 goals a game unless they make some big changes to structuring their formation. Antonio and Payet are still worth their buck but for how much longer we don’t know.
GW Differential Picks:
Dusan Tadic – Finally finding his boots from last year, Tadic is the mastermind in a free flowing Southampton attack that has improved as the weeks have past. With Target man Charlie Austin to play with his movement around the penalty area has improved. High numbers of attempted assists and goal attempts must produce eventually.
Islam Slimani – Doubts as to whether he will play after killing off Porto in the CL midweek. If he does get on the field he provides the perfect target for Mahrez to place his crosses. The big forward wins the majority of his headers and has the ability to hold defender off and find space for a shot.
FPL Captaincy Pick:
(C) Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Last chance saloon for Zlatan, and the captaincy goes to him for a heavily favourable fixture against Stoke. Despite not scoring in the rout of Leicester last weekend, Zlatan has the most shots in the box over the last four gameweeks. His underlying numbers have in fact improved as the weeks have passed, only the important ones (goals and assists) have dried up in recent weeks.
(VC) Diego Costa – Joint top goalscorer in fine form. Was shut down by the Arsenal defensive line easily but this was a result of poor support for the Spaniard. The depleted Hull line up won’t know what’s hit them, perhaps literally with this man.

Watford 2-1 Bournemouth
West Ham 2-2 Middlesbrough
Man United 2-0 Stoke
Leicester 1-0 Southampton
Spurs 1-1 Man City
Burnley 0-3 Arsenal
FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 7
Best GW Attacking Options:
Everton/Palace - With Lukaku and Benteke, the Belgian forwards are both in form and looking likely to score. Palace always get a result at Everton.
Man City - Even without KDB the squad is full of goals, goals, and goals.
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
West Brom - Sunderland away is a fixture that doesn't generate many goals. Foster/McAuley worth the shout for this one week.
Arsenal - The Gunners know how to get a good result away at a 'little' team. Burnley are coming off a good home win against Watford, but we've seen this script before.
Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN - Coutinho, Mane, Firmino, Deeney, Holebas, Sterling
OUT - KDB (until the international break finishes), Negredo, Barkley,
Who is the team to look out for?:
Watford - The Hornet's a looking a decent side at home. Deeney and Ighalo should profit well against Bournemouth
Who is the team to avoid?:
Southampton - Austin's on form, but I really don't fancy the Saint's to get anything at the King Power.
GW Differential Picks:
Rashford - The Man United man has a place in our Wildcards and Core Captains. Could be in for a big week against a poor Stoke side.
Karius - The Liverpool GK is set to retain his place away at Swansea, and is a safer pair of gloves than Mignolet.
Walcott - I've put Walcott in to my actual team. He's a man in-form and a fraction of the price than Sanchez. 2 Homes games after Burnley is attractive.
FPL Captaincy Pick:
(c) Aguero - Man City are being awarded penalties, are an attacking force to be reckoned with. Safe bet, I know, but an essential nonetheless.
(vc) Coutinho - Liverpool's secret weapon is the man in form with 2 lethal FPL returns this season.
Other Gameweek Comments:
It's another international break coming up. Play your transfers late in the week - you never know what players might come back with mysterious injuries.

Gameweek 7 Fixture Prediction
Everton 3-2 Crystal Palace
Swansea 0-2 Liverpool
Hull 1-3 Chelsea
Sunderland 1-2 West Brom
Watford 1-0 Bournemouth
West Ham 2-1 Middlesbrough
Man United 2-0 Stoke
Leicester 2-1 Southampton
Spurs 1-1 Man City
Burnley 1-3 Arsenal
No major shocks other than I think Spurs might be able to scrape a point out of the City game. Simply because without KDB City may struggle creatively.
It is a great chance for West Ham to finally win some points at home v Boro and I expect it to happen but I think Sunderland will continue to struggle against WBA. However, if there is one team who always win after I bet against them it's Sunderland, so maybe a Defoe hat trick is on the cards.
LCFC are another team struggling but I see them as clear favourites in GW7 even though Southampton just smashed West Ham in London. Slimani could prove to be the real deal if LCFC show up to this one.
The classic top 4: Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool all to win. Can't bet against any of them considering their opposition.
FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 7
Best GW Attacking Options:
Liverpool, Arsenal, MUFC, Everton
Lukaku, Ibra, Sanchez owners should feel good about themselves.
While I think they will win, Liverpool are an awkward one in that they have too many options, Lallana and Coutinho seem the obvious picks at the moment but there are several other players competing for the same points. Firmino owners will be hurting over GW6 for a long time.
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Man United, Arsenal, Watford
United and Arsenal have strong back lines and face weak opposition.
Many will fancy WBA as a budget option against hapless Stoke but Watford seem a better bet against Bournemouth who tend to struggle away from the Vitality.
Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN - For me, top targets have to be Sanchez or Costa for their fixtures and attacking threat. Rashford is an interesting pick this week but I'll never be sold on him in the FPL unless his starting spot becomes nailed.
Mane is a player I think has become essential this season but budget friendly Lallana has his fans too. Dimitri Payet also warrants a mention. He will be looking to drag his side out of the relegation places in GW7 which should benefit his owners if they keep the faith.
OUT - Negredo, still really high ownership despite blanking 4 straight weeks,
Redmond- waste of £6m, doesn't score or contribute even when the Saints win, get Bolasie or Snodgrass instead.
Who is the team to look out for?:
Watford, Chelsea, MUFC
MUFC will probably play the same lineup that beat the champions in GW6 as long as they avoid injury in midweek Europa League action. But even if Rooney returns to the side in GW7 I'm expecting a win to nil.
Chelsea have to be clinical against Hull otherwise Conte's problems will linger over the international break. Arsenal and United have won at the KC or whatever they call it now already this season, anything less than the same from Chelsea and their title credentials will evaporate into the Humberside air.
Everyone is ready for Watford to go on a run, their fixtures look simply beautiful.
Who is the team to avoid?:
Stoke and Burnley
Stokalona are dead, they are Stokortivo la Coruna at best.
Burnley have had their famous victories at turf moor its true, but I doubt their fans will remember any of them after the hammering Arsenal will inflict in the last game of GW7, they will be ruthless.
GW Differential Picks:
Pereyra, Slimani, Snodgrass, Bolasie
All impressing me either in their points tally or upcoming fixtures. This week they could all deliver.
FPL Captaincy Pick:
Sanchez, Payet, Lukaku
I like the fixture match ups and all players have delivered for owners in the past. I'd feel safe backing any one of them. Even more so than Kun and Ibra.
Other Gameweek Comments: Man United look good this week but fixtures are tough from GW8. I'd avoid buying or selling Utd players this week, just hold who you have and ditch next week. I'll be ditching Valencia for Curtis Davies unless someone cheaper makes themselves more appealing to me.
Chelsea don't look the side they were at the start of the season and similarly to MUFC and Ibra, I only see one option worth keeping, the striker Costa. They should beat Hull but seeing Snodgrass in the points every week makes he think he will do it again, I'd be surprised if Chelsea keep a clean sheet this week but stranger things have happened.
