FPL FORECAST 2016/17: Gameweek 31
Each and every week the three members of The Hype Team post their Premier League and FPL predictions in an attempt to enlighten players that might be stuck with their FPL choices and transfers. In addition, we’ll be taking on a guest for every Gameweek in the PL. On the weekly agenda are a general predictions category, a Gameweek Fantasy Premier League forecast, scout picks, and captaincy choices. For Gameweek 31, we welcome @FPL_Junior as our next guest. All aboard.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 31 Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.
The transfer deadline for GW31 is Tuesday 4th April 2017 at 18:45pm.

How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of the first edition of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interest parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions (Mark Lawrenson style, only less biased, hopefully) and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast.A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, the wildcard differential players, and general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).
Fixture Prediction: 2016/17 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

Watford 0-1 West Brom
Man United 1-1 Everton
Arsenal 4-1 West Ham
Hull 2-0 Middlesbrough
Southampton 1-1 Crystal Palace
Swansea 0-3 Spurs
Chelsea 2-2 Man City
Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth
FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 31
Best GW Attacking Options:
Leicester (H) vs. Sunderland
Spurs (A) vs. Swansea
Arsenal (H) vs. West Ham
Liverpool (H) vs. Bournemouth
Hull (H) vs. Middlesbrough
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Burnley (H) vs. Stoke City
Leicester (H) vs. Sunderland
West Brom (A) vs. Watford
Spurs (A) vs. Swansea
Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Alexis Sanchez, Ryan Bertrand, Philippe Coutinho, Oumar Niasse.
OUT: Sadio Mane, Pedro, Leighton Baines, Troy Deeney.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Arsenal: Playing a weak West Ham team, and stopped the rot against Man City. Perfect opportunity for the Gunners to get back to winning ways.
Liverpool: Playing at peak form again even with injuries, so expect to see Liverpool find a way to win again and retain their place in the top four.
Spurs: Dominated Swansea last time, and I expect the same in this fixture. Dele Alli will be the one to watch from this game.
Hull City: Haven’t lost at home yet under Marco Silva and I expect them to dispatch Boro with ease. Andrea Rannochia is also looking like a quality defender who should be playing for a better club.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Chelsea: I’m sceptical about the Blues in their fixture against Man City because the Citizens know how to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Sergio Aguero is on scoring form and after seeing Crystal Palace pull off the impossible it could be the blood in the water the Argentine striker needs to have the FPL universe go into meltdown.
Swansea: Spurs will be Spurs, and what I mean by that is that they know how to dispatch teams from the bottom half. Earlier in the season Spurs defeated Swansea in what experts called the most one sided game in Premier League history. Take that as you will, but I don’t expect the Swans to cause them many problems.
Southampton: The Saints are class, but what they don’t have is Mamadou Sakho shutting out the universe currently. The on-loan Liverpool defender has showed his pedigree by forming an unstoppable shield and currently have four wins from his four games for the Eagles. We expecting the Frenchman to soar again, and without Gabbiadini this could be number five.
GW Differential Picks:
Oumar Niasse: I have been elevating the status of Niasse for quite a few weeks because he can score goals for Hull, even to the point where I will constantly recommend him to the other members of the team for consideration as a legitimate transfer. The Tigers haven’t lost at home since Marco Silva arrived and Niasse is their best option in attack, and with Boro visiting midweek it could be a chance to extend Silva’s incredible home form dating back to every club he has ever managed (google it, you’ll be amazed).
Christian Fuchs: The Austrian achieved three consecutive home returns and is now on the cusp of securing a fourth FPL victory when Sunderland (yes, the team nearly relegated) visit the King Power. This is the ultimate opportunity for so much history for Craig Shakespeare and a real statement of intent for the remainder of the season from the Foxes. Fuch’s have found his feet again and should be a real handful for the Black Cat’s this gameweek.

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Alexis Sanchez, Ben Gibson, Philippe Coutinho, Wilfried Zaha, Zlatan Ibrahimovic
OUT: Everton defenders, Bournemouth players, and Sadio Mane (can't believe he's injured - he's in contention to be my player of the year)
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Crystal Palace: Mamadou Sakho, Zaha, and Benteke, can turn on the heat when they want and it looks like the fire is burning. Southampton have been quite poor recently and should have lost to Bournemouth. A scalp for Big Sam is on the cards here.
Leicester: Sunderland are coming, which is great news for Craig Shakespeare, who is surely going to register a 5th consecutive victory in the league.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Man City: Chelsea could (and should) respond to losing to Palace with an assured response. If not, the title race is back on.
Southampton: Palace are talk of the town right now and it looks increasingly likely that the London side will stay up. There are FPL points for players in this game, but not from the home side.
GW Differential Picks:
Mamadou Sakho
Christian Fuchs
Jan Verthongen
Wilfried Zaha
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) Alexis Sanchez - Alexis looks incresingly likely that he'll leave Arsenal, but on the pitch he usually gives 200% and against West Ham he should have another field day against the fellow London side.
(VC) Jamie Vardy - Surely Sunderland are FINALLY getting relegated, and one man to help make that happen will be Jamie Vardy. The Foxes forward has been in great form and even nabbed against Stoke in an easy home win.
Other Gameweek Comments:
Last night our team did Forecast picks whilst watching Wrestlemania together and I got laughed at for stating that midweek fixtures usually lack goals, and FPL points due to rotation and game management across the board. Just go back to GW23 to see the mess that week was. That means I've gone full Mark Lawrenson with my picks, with a lot of 1-1 draws and 2-0 victories for the 'bigger' sides.
There's going to be a lot of rotation and clashes with SWA/TOT and MUN/EVE. e're all probably going to suffer.

FPL Forecasting: Gameweek 31

Arsenal vs West Ham,
Liverpool vs Bournemouth
Tottenham vs Swansea
Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Burnley vs Stoke
Leicester vs Sunderland
Watford vs WBA
Hull vs Middlesbrough
Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Ben Davies, Tadic, Ibrahimovic, Zaha, Valdes
OUT: Alonso, Costa, Mane, Sigurdsson
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Tottenham - DGW to come and strong fixtures. They are the closest team to nicking Chelsea to the league and they will be very motivated. Brilliant options at both ends of the pitch.
Middlesbrough - DGW 34 fixtures are quite nice and they have a good run leading up to it. I would stay away from attack and focus on defence.
Crystal Palace - DGW 34 not too far away, cheap options such as Zaha and they look to be coming into good for under Big Sam.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Sunderland - Poor form and in a downward spiral. They look to be heading in one direction, the Championship. This seasons whipping boys.
Bournemouth - Poor fixtures over the next 3 Gameweek's before a nice spell. Have kept a few clean sheets but I can't see that continuing. Penalty nigtmares don't help their attacking outlets either.
West Brom - Poor attacking outlets, BGW to come and they only have 7 more GWs. Stay clear from attacking options, but I wouldn't look at buying into defensive options at this point either.
GW Differential Picks:
Keane (BUR)
Sane (MCI)
Zaha (CRY)
Maguire (HUL)
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Alexis Sanchez - Alexis is the one player in the Arsenal squad I can trust at the moment. He can change a game on his own. On the reverse fixture we all know what happened, the dink he sunk in the back of the net was one of the best goals this season. The hammers aren't in good form and conceding many goals. Hopefully Sanchez can add to West Ham's misery.
(VC): Dele Alli - Just returning back into my side after the unfortunate injury of Mane. Spurs are in terrific form and are attacking well under Poch this season. Alli nearly had a brace against Burnley but ended up with just an assist.
