FPL GRAPHICAL AID: Huddersfield are on the Fantasy radar!
Huddersfield have made news headlines everywhere with two consecutive wins in their first ever Premier League season, beating both Crystal Palace and Newcastle, to be among the league's top four sides heading into Gameweek 3. With Huddersfield offering insane value for Fantasy Premier League players, we're going to run down who has caught our eye, as well as one name to be wary of if you think he might be worth a transfer. All aboard.
Our fixture graphic from before the beginning of the season sums up how quickly the FPL changes. The players on the radar were either £4.0m options who wouldn't play, and with Ince and Mooy you have the two suspects who are more widely known. Discarded were the likes of Schindler, Mooy, and Steve Mounie, from the eyes of potential ownership FPL ownership.
With a 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace, and a 1-0 home win over Newcastle, it is another home fixture up next for Huddersfield, then a trip to the London Stadium for West Ham's first run out in their new stadium.
Huddersfield's FPL Options
Offering value and good fixtures, here's we believe to be the four options that you should consider for your FPL team. Fortunately, we believe The Terriers have good value across the pitch, so even if you disagree with our selections, the likes of Zanka, Tommy Smith, and Chris Lowe, are all equally viable options.
Are there any FPL Considerations with Huddersfield?
Huddersfield's pressing system has suited them so far this season, but there will be rotation. Not among the defenders, but among the attacking midfielders, we will see subtle changes throughout the season, depending on home and away fixtures. We saw that with Rajiv van La Parra getting the nod ahead of Kasey Palmer for the Newcastle fixture for Gameweek 2. Kachunga was also subbed with FPL forward Quaner after 70 odd minutes, so these are the areas for concern in regards to minutes for Huddersfield.
Tom Ince has been a good performer in the opening two games, but has not registered his performances into the FPL, with two clean sheet points to his name so far. Ince is on the occasional corner-kick duty on the right hand side of midfield, but aside from that it appears like the 1.7% of owners will have to rely on points from open-play from the Derby County signing.
