FANTASY FORECAST 2017/18: FPL Gameweek 7
Ahead of each Gameweek in the Fantasy Premier League the Hype Train invites a special guest onto its Fantasy Forecast, where the three members of the Hype Team and its Guests will duel for FPL supremacy in predicting Premier League scores, as well as going head to head in picking a Scout Picks squad for the relevant Gameweek. In addition, we give our insight into who are the players to watch and those to drop, both for traditional FPL leagues and the Draft mode, as well as providing insight into captaincy picks, differentials for the week, and more. Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.
How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of respecting the rules of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interested parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast. A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, players to consider for the Draft game, the wildcard differential players, as well as general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, without any budget, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).
Fixture Prediction: 2017/18 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

Who are the teams to look out for?:
Man United: Easiest fixture of the week, goals aplenty for sure.
Liverpool: I’m backing the Reds to rebound from another disappointing result to reform the ‘Fab Four’ (Mane, Coutinho, Firmino, and Salah) to pick up a result against the Toon. Liverpool’s midfielders are worth their weight in FPL gold and they recently beat Leicester in the league where they have struggled in recent years.
Watford: Three wins from three on the road for Marco Silva’s Watford so far, and keeping clean sheets too. West Brom are a bit wobbly, and bar the slip up at home to Man City for the Hornets they have still been collecting points in all their games.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
West Ham: Despite having a home fixture, there opposition is Swansea who have kept three clean sheets on the road so far, and not only do the Swans have a better away record than home, their defenders are bonus points magnets when they do pick up a clean sheet.
West Brom: As explained above, Watford are on a travelling crusade.
Man City: Plagued with injuries to their squad they might be a tad short of the quality that it requires to beat Chelsea.
Crystal Palace: No explanation necessary.
GW Differential Picks:
Oumar Niasse (EVE): Scored a brace on his league return to Everton, and priced at the bargain price of £5.0mil in the FPL he is a huge consideration for Burnley’s visit of Goodison Park. Everton quite frankly do not look like scoring goals without the renewed forward.
Jack Butland (STK): The visitors Southampton have really had a tough time finding the back of the net, and I am legitimately asking the question if they can do it at Stoke because they have shown plenty of times this season that they lack sharp teeth in front of goal.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Romelu Lukaku – Crystal Palace at home, it is the safest bet, and, he is the most consistent player in the league so far.
(VC): Harry Kane – Scored nine goals in five matches, which goes to show that August really does haunt Harry Kane. Up next for the lethal finisher is Huddersfield who have crashed since their training wheels fell off.

Barring Man City and Chelsea which could go up to the flip of a coin, most of the top six teams have an easy time of things this week.

Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
Andy Carroll: my one week punt in both the regular and Draft style leagues. His record against Swansea is hard to ignore. In 9 appearances against the Swans he has a total of 6 goals and 3 assists.
FPL Captaincy Picks: (C): Harry Kane: as I say every week, he is THE man. Worth every penny of his price tag as long as he’s used for the captaincy. Away fixtures have been a success for him so far and I can’t see that changing.
(VC): Romelu Lukaku: I’m actually looking to drop Lukaku after this week so it was tempting to captain him here. Palace is the place to go for 3 points at the minute and Lukaku is a consistent source of goals and FPL points. Sadly the fixtures turn bad from for a while.
Other Gameweek Comments: I’ve gone all in on Andy Carroll this week. Guaranteed to fail now but it’s worth taking a punt on someone if you’re looking to play a wildcard next week.

Juan Mata has been overlooked in many leagues and could be another option ahead of a home game against lowly Crystal Palace. Swansea defenders also offer something away from home, as do Watford.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Newcastle: Newcastle usually beat Liverpool at home, and I' not changing my opinion now, with the Reds in some bad form.
West Brom: When you expect them to do poorly, they win.
Arsenal: They've won all their home games. More of Lacazette and Sanchez this week.
Stoke: They've had some tough ties and I expect them to get a win under the belts heading into October.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
West Ham: Swansea are decent away from home, and West Ham haven't been decent in years.
Crystal Palace: They're definitely getting relegated.
Southampton: They can't score goals.
