FANTASY FORECAST 2017/18: FPL Gameweek 27
Ahead of each Gameweek in the Fantasy Premier League the Hype Train invites a special guest onto its Fantasy Forecast, where the three members of the Hype Team and its Guests will duel for FPL supremacy in predicting Premier League scores, as well as going head to head in picking a Scout Picks squad for the relevant Gameweek. In addition, we give our insight into who are the players to watch and those to drop, both for traditional FPL leagues and the Draft mode, as well as providing insight into captaincy picks, differentials for the week, and more. Welcome to the Forecast. All aboard.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.

How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of respecting the rules of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interested parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast. A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, players to consider for the Draft game, the wildcard differential players, as well as general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, without any budget, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).

Fixture Prediction: 2017/18 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

Man City (H) vs. Leicester

Best GW Defensive / Clean Sheet Potential:
Stoke (H) vs. Brighton
Swansea (H) vs. Burnley

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Jack Butland (GK), Andrew Robertson (DEF), Alexis Sanchez (MID), Olivier Giroud (FW)
OUT: Nick Pope (GK), Joe Gomez (DEF), Riyad Mahrez (MID), Alvaro Morata (FW)
Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
Looking out for picks who haven’t been snapped up would be advised, and mostly because there will be lots of differentials available. Deulofeu, Ibe, and Deeney might all be options to consider, as might be Liverpool defenders against low scoring Southampton.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Man City: Unstoppable, even with Jamie Vardy playing for Leicester.
Liverpool: I am banking on Liverpool repeating the same 3-0 score as earlier in the season with Mo Salah at the peak of his powers.
Everton: Crystal Palace are without Wilfried Zaha which could see a good run of games for the Eagles come crashing down without their star man.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
West Ham: Watford who travel to the London Stadium have found their groove again, and with Gerard Deulofeu now a huge differential it doesn’t matter who they field at left-back, it is going to be a tough game for them.
Spurs: Early kick-off in a tightly contested North London derby.
Arsenal: Early kick-off in a tightly contested North London derby.
GW Differential Picks:
I pick the weekly differentials for The Hype Train, and my two most audacious picks this week go to Jordon Ibe and Gerard Deulofeu, two midfielders in fine form in fixtures where their teams should dominate.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Mohamad Salah – Why wouldn’t you captain the Egyptian King this week?
(VC): Harry Kane – Runner up to Salah is Kane, a man who had a knack of scoring against Arsenal in this fixture.
Other Gameweek Comments:
Champions League returns next week, but that shouldn’t influence the teams this week. There is an air of normality about this week, so take advantage of it.

IN: Fabianski, Shaqiri, Ibe, Kenedy, Mawson, Jordan Ayew, Fabianski, Walcott (hold off on the Arsenal arrivals, for now)
OUT: Joe Gomez, Pogba, any Crystal Palace player, Lingard
Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
Bournemouth might be overlooked.
Swansea too.
Liverpool might have a few cheeky options floating around on the waiver.
Kenedy for Newcastle.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Swansea/Burnley: Both look good for a clean sheet this week.
Spurs: Everyone is high on Arsenal right now, and they still can't defend. Spurs should win this and have already seen off Aubameyang at Wembley once this season.
Watford: They have an attacking spring in their step and could take West Ham to the cleaners if they wanted too. Plus, it helps that I'm a big fan of Gerard Deulofeu, and was one of them idiots that loved him when he was at Everton.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
West Ham: Please, for all that is good with football, have this team relegated. West Ham offer absolutely nothing to this league.
West Brom: See above. WBA offer little in the league and it would be nice to see fresh teams coming up, it might make West Brom come out of their shell, which they do very well when they want.
Stoke: Paul Lambert's kicked them into second gear, which is better than where they were.
Newcastle: I really, really fear what will happen to my beloved Newcastle at the end of the season. We have some tough games. We're going to have to beat a few of the big boys in order to stay up, all whilst Huddersfield and Brighton have a run of decent fixtures.
GW Differential Picks:
Budget midfielders - Ibe, Deulofeu, Kenedy, and Stanislas, all look in decent form heading into the weekend.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Mohamad Salah – Probably my captain until the end of the season until something drastic happens to The King of Egypt.
(VC): Harry Kane – Yes, I'm being boring this week but I see no alternatives this week, not even Aguero.
Other Gameweek Comments:
I think if you own a Man City player, you're doomed for rotation this week. I think that Otamendi might get a 'rest', as will a few others, so I'm not holding out my luck in that regards. Aside from that I think it will be normal business this week, with a lot of relegation threatened sides in strong positions to pick up points this weekend.

Locadia from Brighton may be a hidden gem. If given the go ahead to start this weekend, I can see him thriving very well in either the striker or left wing position. Swansea defenders also looking promising, could be the perfect differential for squads. Who are the teams to look out for?: Watford - oozing with attacking threat, can see goals galore over the next few gameweeks for sure. Swansea - things seem to have tightened up at the back and also have great attacking assets to help survive another year in the Premiership. Who are the teams to avoid?: Huddersfield - uncertainty of who is spearheading the attack and defensively have been performing under par compared to the first half of the season. West Ham - injuries have crippled the club for consistent and reliable options up top and there seems to be a lack of team chemistry also. GW Differential Picks: Giroud (~2%) - will hope to start, and can see him netting a goal in and in contention for max bonus points. Bernardo Silva (~1%) - filling in for Sane and will fight to secure starting role in the club. Coleman (~0.3%) - fresh and fully recovered from injury, would want to bounce back from heavy defeat to Arsenal with a clean sheet. FPL Captaincy Picks: (C): Agueroooooo (VC): Salah Other Gameweek Comments: I would recommend holding onto your FT for this gameweek (unless you have annoying suspensions/injuries that need addressing). This is so you can plan for the upcoming BGWs and maximise points as much as possible.
