FANTASY FORECAST 2017/18: FPL Gameweek 34
Ahead of each Gameweek in the Fantasy Premier League the Hype Train invites a special guest onto its Fantasy Forecast, where the three members of the Hype Team and its Guests will duel for FPL supremacy in predicting Premier League scores, as well as going head to head in picking a Scout Picks squad for the relevant Gameweek. In addition, we give our insight into who are the players to watch and those to drop, both for traditional FPL leagues and the Draft mode, as well as providing insight into captaincy picks, differentials for the week, and more. Welcome to the Forecast. All aboard.

Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek Deadline
For the 2016/17 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. The Premier League website lists each FPL deadline, you can always ask on social media, and you can also view a real time countdown on our Weekly Hype page.

How does our Forecasting work?
We have taken to our Hype Team, and the FPL Community, to compete in a weekly head to head dual of wits. We are asking the questions that dominate each week in the Fantasy Premier League: who to pick, who to avoid, who to captain, and who may surprise. The 3 members of the Hype Team, and a Guest, will provide weekly insight for the Gameweek ahead. For the sake of respecting the rules of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interested parties.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast. A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, players to consider for the Draft game, the wildcard differential players, as well as general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, without any budget, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).

Fixture Prediction: 2017/18 Points Table
In our predictions a perfect score is 3 points, and predicting the right outcome is worth 1 point (aka if a team wins but, you predict it, but don't get the perfect score). Below is the Gameweek and overall rundown of our Premier League predictions series for the season.

Who would you Transfer In and Out for the Gameweek and beyond?:
IN: Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, David de Gea, Jamie Vardy, Christian Eriksen (obvious picks)
OUT: Roberto Firmino (this makes me sad), Harry Maguire (I’m done with Leicester defenders, even if they have a Double Gameweek, bank on it that Andrew Robertson outscores all of them).
Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
Double gameweek players from Burnley, Leicester, Chelsea, Man United, and Spurs.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Liverpool: After knocking out Manchester City, the Reds are in hot form right now, and with Salah back from his injury scare the likes of Simon Francis and Nathan Ake should be praying another such scare to force Salah off the field.
Man United: Two favourable fixtures against relegated West Brom, and mid table Bournemouth. The Double Gameweek favours the Red Devils, unsurprisingly.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Southampton: I can’t see where Southampton are getting their points, they are looking even worse under Mark Hughes, and against Chelsea and Leicester I can’t see how they are going to compete in the immediate relegation race.
Bournemouth: Liverpool and Manchester United in a double-gameweek, shall I say more?
GW Differential Picks:
Alexis Sanchez is the standout differential this week, and so is Eden Hazard, both heavyweight midfielders have two favourable games to get things right. It is hard to see why both are differentials.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Romelu Lukaku – The Belgian is a fan of scoring against bottom half teams, and he has West Brom and Bournemouth in the double gameweek, and in my opinion a much better option than Harry Kane who is claiming all the goals.
(VC): Mohamad Salah – I reckon the Egyptian is still going to outscore most players, even in a Double Gameweek. Even in one game he is worth a captaincy, especially against Bournemouth.
Other Gameweek Comments:
This is a Double Gameweek, so obviously your aim will be to have as many options as possible that play twice, but heed warning, Mo Salah is back and firing on all cylinders. I guarantee it that a huge swath of fantasy managers are ruing their luck after dropping him for Son, only to be disappointed.

GW Differential Picks:
Alexis Sanchez (MUN): Somehow the FPL legend has slipped under the radar, or maybe his price has put players off. Having formed a front three with Lukaku and Lingard there should be plenty of points to share around in the DGW.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Harry Kane: the main man is determined to snatch the golden boot away from Mo Salah-even at the expense of his team mates.
(VC): Jamie Vardy: Leicester have nothing to play for but that shouldn’t stop Vardy from giving everything he’s got. Favourable fixtures are enough for the VC.

Who are the players that might make the difference this Gameweek in the Draft?:
Players that are on the scrap heap that will be ressurected for one week.
- Austin
- Wilson
- King
- Burnley defenders in general
- Cork
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Liverpool: Have you dropped Salah and aren't scared? You should be.
Southampton: Not that they are any good, but they could RUIN a lot of FPL expectation this weekend, and are one's to watch just due to that.
Newcastle: I couldn't be happier as a Newcastle fan, and am buzzing for the end of season fixtures. We will most likely ruin some of the Arsenal FPL assets that are on show this weekend.
Who are the teams to avoid?:
Brighton: Only players with the Free Hit chip would have banked on Brighton assets. Gross and Ryan are myths this week, at least from my own viewpoint.
Bournemouth: Unpredictable, as in Josh King could be Player of the Week, or they'll be cannon fodder. Who knows?
Arsenal: Major rotation is incoming in the coming weeks. DGW35 picks are risky due to the Atletico game.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C): Romelu Lukaku – If there was ever a week when I needed Romelu Lukaku to come through in a big way, this is it. Don't let me down, big man, an important mini-league is pretty much counting on it.
(VC): Harry Kane – His fixtures are off putting this week, but he earns some VC recognition just because he might steal some goals this weekend.
Other Gameweek Comments:
I'd just like to throw a big thank you out to everyone who has been a Forecast guest this season. Everything builds up to weeks such as these, so it is delightful to have had another season worth of invaluable input from the FPL community.
Also, I couldn't be happier for Liverpool in the Champions League and will cheering The Red's on to a 6th European crown in May.
