MLS Fantasy 2019: Fixture Graphics for Week's 1-10
The 2019 MLS season begins on Saturday 2nd March with Toronto the first team to kick a ball for the second season running. With the full Schedule release of the season, we begin our look at the MLS Fantasy ahead by providing fixture graphics for the first 10 Week's of the season. All Aboard.
MLS 2019: Fixture Schedule Breakdown
When doing our research on MLS fixtures for the season ahead, it can sometimes be frustrating finding a resource that blocks fixtures into their respective matchweek's, so we've gone ahead and comprised such a list in the form of 10 weekly graphics to begin the season.
With MLS expanding to 24 teams this season, with FC Cincinnati joining the league, in theory the schedule should have levelled out with 12 fixture each week, but in MLS scheduling games isn't as easy as that.
Week's 1-3 are traditional rounds of games, with 11-12 fixtures each week, before there is a shortened 5-game Week 4. Rounds 5 and 6 then return to a normal format of 11-12 fixtures, before Week 7 presents a first Double Gameweek of the season with 14 games. Week 8 is also a DGW, with 13 fixtures, whilst Week 9 is the meatiest of all weeks, with 17 fixtures, which equates to 10 teams playing in 5 additional matches in midweek. Week 10 then rounds off a 4th consecutive Double Gameweek, with Philadelphia Union and FC Cincinnati in action twice.
The first few weeks of the season should embed Fantasy players with trends surrounding high-scoring defenders and attackers, before a flurry of expanded Gameweek's pad out a hectic start to the season.

Week 1: Single Gameweek, 12 fixtures
Week 2: Single Gameweek, 11 fixtures
Week 3: Single Gameweek, 12 fixtures
Week 4: Reduced Gameweek, 5 fixtures
Week 5: Single Gameweek, 12 fixtures
Week 6: Single Gameweek, 11 fixtures
Week 7: Double Gameweek (D.C. United, Montreal, Colorado, Seattle), 14 fixtures
Week 8: Double Gameweek (Vancouver & LAFC), 13 fixtures
Week 9: Double Gameweek (NYCFC, Chicago, Columbus, D.C. United, New England, Montreal, Minnesota, LA Galaxy, Seattle, San Jose), 17 fixtures
Week 10: Double Gameweek (Philadelphia & Cincinnati), 13 fixtures
