Hype Train FC's 2019/20 Pre-Season Schedule

Hype Train FC's inaugural season starts on August 31st 2019 and ahead of our East Berkshire Football League campaign, we are happy to announce our pre-season schedule, which kicks off on July 27th 2019. We've all the details about our opposition and dates right here. All aboard.

If you'd like to view our upcoming fixtures, you can view them below on our Instagram page, as well as on our Team Schedule page.

2019/20 Pre-Season Schedule

Our first ever game is set to take place at our regular training facility, JMA Academy, against Slough Heating Reserves on Saturday 27th July, the team that won Division 1 in the EBFL last season. From their 16 league games, they won 14 and lost only 2 games, without a single draw.

Our next game is against Reading & District Sunday League side, Calcot FC, who last season competed in its Division 4. This encounter will be the first of our 2 Sunday games, with Calcot on August 4th, before an encounter against another side from Division 4, New England, the week later on August 11th.

A week later on Saturday 17th August we venture away from home for the first time as we play Thames Valley Premier League side, Harchester Hawks, at Bohunt School. We're then back on home soil for EBFL Division 1 team, South Bucks United, who like us, are new to the league.

Our last pre-season friendly sits just 3 days before our first ever league match, as we travel to Phoenix Old Boys, who are in our division for the upcoming season, on Wednesday 28th August.

We also have a midweek game against Caversham United in the pipeline, with a date and time to be confirmed.

Thoughts from General Secretary, Robert Austin:

"The end of July and the start of August pretty much kicks off run of weekly matches for the team, with 7 games in the space of 5 weeks. We're up against a variety of talented teams that will test our entire squad.

There will be game time for everyone that has been coming to training, and hopefully our home and away kits are with us in time for our encounter against Slough Reserves, who will probably be our toughest opponents in pre-season.

Our weekly training is currently gearing us up for our opening game. As a new team we have to work on shape, discipline and expectations, in the hope that we can kick off our first ever match with a win that sets a high standard.

If there are any teams out there looking for midweek games against our squad, we still have some availability, so please don't hesitate to contact myself on email if you want a game against our team."
