Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 12 Deadline
For the 2019/20 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. Our website provides a real-world countdown timer for the the upcoming Gameweek, whilst you can read our latest Fantasy articles from the season on our 2019/20 FPL weekly hype sub-section.
How does our Forecasting work?
For three years we invited guests from the FPL Community to tackle us with picks for the upcoming Gameweek in Fantasy Premier League. We'll be taking a break from inviting guests onto this article for a year, and have introduced a new feature, Fantasy 5's, which we'll be asking weekly guests their top pick in each position ahead of each Gameweek.
For the sake of respecting the rules of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interested parties that will feature throughout the season.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast. A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, players to consider for the Draft game, the wildcard differential players, as well as general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, without any budget, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).

Who are the teams to look out for and avoid?:
Arsenal (Huge Avoid): This fixture couldn’t have come at a more inconvenient time for Arsenal. The club would have wanted an easy home tie to get people back on their side after the turmoil with former club captain Xhaka, their disappointment in the Europa League on Wednesday after squandering a thin one goal lead, and the murmurings that are turning into revolt against Unai Emery. The Gunners away day form is also atrocious, and with Leicester hosting them at the King Power I can already see the anger on AFTV after the match.
Liverpool (Watch): Last year I went off on a huge rant about City when they visited Anfield, and I got a 0-0, with Mahrez missing a penalty in the dying minutes. This year, Liverpool are leaving no stone un-turned going into what could be a title deciding game. There is no better time to play City with defensive injuries, and if the Reds can’t aim to go into the international break with a nine-point gap it will be a huge disappointment.
Newcastle (Watch): I just have a feeling that Newcastle will pull something out of the bag against Bournemouth, they did it last season at St James Park, and I think they will do it again. The Toon are big differentials this week, with Federico Fernandez in great form when there are set pieces.
Norwich (Avoid): I am putting the Canaries in the avoid category this week because I am still doing public service announcements that the Pukki Party has been over for a good month now. Watford have to pick up their first won of the season at one point, and I think this is a good game to get their sting back.

(C) – Tammy Abraham (CHE): Chelsea have a comfortable home game against Palace, and I can see them scoring lots of goals which has now become a staple in Lampard’s short reign so far.
(VC) – Jamie Vardy (LEI): The in-form striker of the Premier League at the moment, and against that Arsenal defence I can see this particular Fox causing havoc at the weekend.

I’ve got a few sideways moves to consider for this week as my team is relatively ‘strong’, whatever the hell that means for a player who has just broke the top 3 million players for the first time this season.
Sideways moves:
Pulisic in for Mount
Robertson in for Alexander-Arnold
Mane in for Salah
Most probable transfer:
I’ve got Otamendi burning a hole in my pocket and £2.5m in spare cash so might go in for Andrew Robertson or Virgil van Dijk. Depending on the development with Mount’s injury, Pulisic or Martial might be likely transfers too.
Who are the teams to look out for?:
Liverpool: It’s their time, surely. Last season’s title race was decided by City picking up 4 points against Liverpool. A reversal of fortunes should mean that Klopp will win the top domestic crown, much to the glee of Reds fans worldwide.
Leicester: Arsenal just can’t defend. Their Manager is under pressure. Their captain has been stripped of the armband. AFTV regulars have lost the plot (much to the delight of their viewership). Wenger could land a top job in Germany. Oh yeah, and they play an in-form Leicester side who could take their ‘Top 6’ spot.
Newcastle: We’re a dangerous counter attacking side, though Newcastle’s finishing is woeful. If we start hitting the target, this should be a winnable game for Bruce’s side. I’d love to bank on Miguel Almiron in FPL, even if it helps him get over the line for his first goal – they need to get him away from the right-wing though and play him as a False 10. It’s his best position by a long way.
“IT’S A TARP!”:
Spurs: Sheffield United are defensively solid and will take some beating in London this weekend.
Norwich: Pukki’s at home against the bottom team in the league… He’s also blanked in 6 consecutive Gameweek’s and Norwich have been bossed in every game since. Wouldn’t put it past Watford getting their first win of the season too. Deulofeu played well against Chelsea and could put Norwich’s defence to the sword.
Burnley: West Ham just got steamrolled by Newcastle. This is such a typical game where West Ham will get the 3 points and play like world beaters.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) – Jamie Vardy (LEI): 10 goals and has 7 more Premier League goals than any other player since March. Arsenal can’t defend. Leicester are on a high.
(VC) – Raul Jimenez (WOL): Goals in 2 of his last 3 fixtures, Raul has passed the coveted eye test this season. Should have had a few more goals to his name in the Premier League and can see a goal incoming against Villa.
Other Gameweek Comments:
Another international break is coming, so save transfers where you can. Chelsea play City too, so it is worth having some foresight.
We love a lot of the reviews we get whenever we post our articles on Reddit, though despite us always stating that we put no price limit on our Scout Picks squads, I thought that in the interest of being fair, that my team is within the £100.00m bracket this week. Just remember though that we just like to cover the top players, with the players we use nothing more than a topic of conversation when you should be looking at your transfers for the week ahead.
