Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 15 Deadline
For the 2019/20 Premier League season, the FPL deadline will be one hour before the commencement of the week's first game. Our website provides a real-world countdown timer for the the upcoming Gameweek, whilst you can read our latest Fantasy articles from the season on our 2019/20 FPL weekly hype sub-section.
How does our Forecasting work?
For three years we invited guests from the FPL Community to tackle us with picks for the upcoming Gameweek in Fantasy Premier League. We'll be taking a break from inviting guests onto this article for a year, and have introduced a new feature, Fantasy 5's, which we'll be asking weekly guests their top pick in each position ahead of each Gameweek.
For the sake of respecting the rules of the Forecast, we have provided an example of what we're sending out to interested parties that will feature throughout the season.
Premier League Fixture Prediction: As pundits, we are testing our football acumen with PL predictions and will be providing regular updated tables and stats in each edition of the FPL Forecast. A perfect score is worth 3 points whilst a correct result is worth 1 point.
FPL Gameweek Forecasting: Answering the regular questions that come up every single week in the Fantasy Premier League community that helps with identifying captaincy picks, transfers, attacking options, clean sheet potential, teams to look our for and avoid, players to consider for the Draft game, the wildcard differential players, as well as general analysis and comments.
Scout Picks: Picking a squad of 15 for a single Gameweek, without any budget, using the rules of the FPL - formations, captains and vice captains, and the player limits of 3 per club (chips will not be feature of these weekly picks)
Each team must pick a Captain, labelled as (c) and a Vice Captain listed as (vc).

GK: Vincente Guaita (CRY, GK, £5.0mil, 0.7% ownership)
DEF: Ricardo Pereira (LEI, DEF, £6.4mil, 15.8% ownership)
MID: Wilfried Zaha (CRY, MID, £6.6mil, 9.2% ownership)
FWD: Raul Jimenez (WOL, FWD, £7.7mil, 22.9% ownership)
Who are the teams to look out for and avoid?:
Man United (Avoid): This one goes without saying, and if you are a United fan you are most likely getting clammy hands just thinking about the state of the team. This couldn’t be a worse time to meet and in-form Spurs who are now being championed by Jose Mourinho, a manager they sacked after winning them two trophies. Kane and Son could make Ed Woodward regret their decision.
Crystal Palace (Watch): The Eagles have a mouth-watering run of games, and they are up against a Bournemouth side who have completely dropped off. I can see Roy Hodgson’s men going from strength-to-strength with Zaha back in prime form.
Chelsea (Avoid): Aston Villa are performing extremely well, and they are tough to beat. Chelsea really struggled against West Ham, and if Abraham isn’t back in the squad they may do so again.
Southampton (Watch): Danny Ings has been in great form and has scored a goal in the last three games. Norwich can put Everton into the relegation zone with a win over Norwich, and I can see the Saints getting the job done over the Canaries.
Man United (Avoid): I’m not quite done yet with this, because there are people out there who still think that Martial FC are a good team. I implore you to accept that Man United are currently, and will be under OGS, hopelessly outgunned. Mourinho has a grudge to settle, and I think he’ll get the better of his former employers.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) – Jamie Vardy (LEI): Thirteen goals in fourteen games speaks for itself. Jamie Vardy has blanked for FPL managers only five times this season. Vardy is currently on six consecutive returns and Watford visit the King Power on Wednesday evening.
(VC) – Raul Jimenez (WOL): Six returns from the Mexican’s last seven games has once against thrust Raul back into the captaincy mindset. Four goals and three assists is hard to ignore, the form and fixture is there against West Ham this coming Wednesday evening.
Other Gameweek Comments:
The dreaded ‘R’ word returns to the mix this week. That is right, it is rotation season. Fixture pileups will doom FPL teams, so it is essential that you select dead-set options for the upcoming weeks.

Top FPL transfer targets for the weekend:
Newcastle, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace all have a good run of fixtures, so I’d be looking at getting in Wilf Zaha (CRY) as the main target, with George Baldock (SHU), Dean Henderson (SHU), Jetro Willems (NEW) and Vicente Guaita (CRY) as good defensive coverage for your teams.
Who are the teams to look out for and avoid?:
Arsenal (avoid): Brighton gave Liverpool a good game and should be good value heading to The Emirates on Thursday given that The Gunners have just gotten rid of Emery. Stability might be key for the travelling side this week.
Man United & Spurs (avoid): This game typically has few goals in it at Old Trafford, especially when Jose was in charge of United. Spurs are in a good vein of form, but this one has a draw written all over it for me.
Southampton (watch): Danny Ings has scored in three consecutive matches and performances are slowly getting there for the Saints. Should be a high-scoring game and I’m expecting Ings on the scoresheet again.
FPL Captaincy Picks:
(C) – Jamie Vardy (LEI): After a single captaincy return from my opening 11 Gameweek’s of the season, I’ve captained Vardy for three weeks on the spin and he hasn’t disappointed. I’m not changing at this point.
(VC) – Raul Jimenez (WOL): The Mexican international has 6 returns from his last 7 games and is the perfect Vice for Vardy, with a home game against West Ham on the table.
*p.s. me and Sam are sorry (not sorry) about our captaincy picks this week. We're twins after all and once in a while you're going to have us agree on the same choices. Vardy's form is too ridiculous to ignore, however, whilst Raul is the second pillar of FPL consistency this season.
Other Gameweek Comments:
I can see all the current ‘Top 4’ winning in midweek – Liverpool, Leicester, Man City and Chelsea. Of the foursome, only Chelsea are giving me a question mark over their result, given that Villa are in good form and will relish the opportunity for another good away result.
Miguel Almiron has his first assist of the season and will probably be priced at £9.5 million in FPL next season as a result. The Sheffield United defensive options to start at £6.5m and Leicester as a minimum of £7.0m.
