LIV/MCI: Curtis Jones (LIV, MID, £5.0mil, 0.1% ownership)

Differential Captain: Nick Pope (Burnley)

I am playing it safe this week, from a player yet to gain a return all season. Nick Pope, the formerly wonder kid of the FPL has started the season with a very underwhelming run of games. Burnley haven’t had the strongest of starts, and they finally catch a break with hosting Norwich at the weekend. This is a no-brainer game, and if they can’t keep a clean sheet against the leagues worst team, then that defines Pope’s season.

Gameweek 7 - FPL Captaincy Picks:

Essential: Romelu Lukaku (CHE)

Alternative: Michail Antonio (WHU)

Differential: Nick Pope (BUR)

England vs. FPL:

3 Lions had another bad week, failing to beat the average score again…Captain Kane was a total let down in what is normally easy points against Arsenal historically. That said, it is a good thing to see this and completely shift perspectives.

Ins: Ramsdale, McCarthy, Coady, Walker, Mings, Saka, Jones, Vardy

Outs: Pope, Foster, White, Keane, Shaw, Grealish, Gray, Bamford

I have wildcarded this week as I had five injuries out of the blue, but I have kept TAA (LIV) in my team for when he returns after the international break as he is too invaluable to the 3 Lions. It is ironic that the three full backs that were being debated for the England team in the summer aren’t playing…Reece James and Trent Alexander-Arnold are both injured, and Chilwell has been mysteriously replaced by Marcos Alonso. I would love Chilwell to come into Chelsea’s team, it is a waiting game.

GW6 Returns: 3/11
